Watch the natural route
Notice where people already put their keys and bags. A storage system several rooms away may be tidy in theory and unused in practice. Try a small tray close to the natural landing point and see whether it sticks.
Keep exits clear
Shoes and parcels should not narrow the route out of the house. Choose a small everyday selection rather than storing the entire household wardrobe by the door. Leave bulky or occasional items in another suitable place.
Give each thing a simple address
Use a written label or a consistent position so the system does not depend only on colour. Hooks must be suitable for the wall and load, fitted according to instructions. Renters should check permission and suitable fixing options before drilling or applying adhesive.
Add a returning-home reset
A short routine can be enough: keys down, shoes away, bag in its spot. Keep personal items secure where needed. If a bowl is always overflowing, reduce what goes in it before adding another bowl.
Keep going, gently
